Physical Plant

Physical Plant operates, maintains, and continuously improves the campus to provide a safe and supportive environment for Pacific students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Physical plant provides a wide array of services for the entire campus community, including maintenance of Pacific's beautifully landscaped grounds, custodial services, set-up/take-down for events, mail services, duplicating services, lock and key services, and skilled work from in-house shops: structures, paint, alarms, electrical, plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).

Student Work Requests

Student requests for repair services are handled by Residential Life & Housing. They can be reached at 209.946.2331. To request a repair, send a detailed email stating the repair needed, the location of the repair and your name to repair@pacific.edu.

Faculty & Staff Work Requests 

Faculty & staff who would like to request services from Physical Plant must use FAMIS, an online work request system. This tracks requests and ensures work is routed to the appropriate personnel.

    1. Register by completing a FAMIS Access Request Form. Email completed form to Famis.Team@Pacific.edu (only need to do one time).
    2. Go to famis.pacific.edu 
    3. Login to the system using your Pacific username and password

    Help with FAMIS

    Common reasons for placing a work request through FAMIS:

    • Event-related requests for set-up/take-down, electrical, and waste management
    • Repair of walls, windows, doors
    • New paint or carpet
    • Hanging clocks, artwork, etc.
    • Building office partitions
    • Office temperature too hot or cold
    • Leaky plumbing
    • Pest control
    • Changes to a sprinkler schedule
    • Field marking
    • Light fixture replacement 
    • Moving assistance (for departments & offices) 
    • Key requests (requires the name and 988# of the person who will be using the key)

    When not to use FAMIS
    For issues requiring immediate attention such as serious plumbing leaks, power failures, graffiti, broken sprinklers, or fallen trees call Physical Plant directly at 209.946.2541.

    Physical Plant Hours of Operation

    Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    For after hour issues, call Physical Plant. Calls will be forwarded to Public Safety, or call Public Safety directly 209.946.2537.
