We promise that student learning and success will be the cornerstone for all that we do. We are committed to preparing our students for both the essential skills of their chosen professions and the interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to be active, engaged, inclusive citizens of the world.
As your Vice President for Student Life, I would like to take a moment to welcome our new freshman and transfer students to Pacific and welcome back our returning students. I am sure that you will soon realize that Pacific is a truly wonderful and special place as I have since arriving at the university.
As you begin and continue your journey at Pacific, I encourage you to take full advantage of all the services, resources, programs, and events we have to offer. It is up to you to decide how you interact with us! I remember when I was a first-year student attending orientation and the vice president for student affairs told us, "Look to your left and look to your right. One of these students will not be here next year." This statement made such a profound impact on me that I have worked tirelessly throughout my career to alter this perception. I am proud to let you know that this is not our philosophy here at Pacific. We are committed to your success and will partner with you to ensure that you achieve your academic goals. The only thing we ask of you is that you fully engage and are committed to your own success.
Good luck and have a wonderful year!
