Media Relations

The Office of Communications believes it is vital that faculty, staff and students work with the university's media relations team to earn coverage of their activities, accomplishments and expertise.

University of the Pacific has many stories to tell, and working effectively with local, regional and national news media, as well as posting on Social Media or creating original content for the Pacific Web site, helps get these stories told. The Communications staff believes media coverage builds visibility of the university and its outstanding programs and faculty.

It can also help attract students, increase support for faculty and enhance Pacific’s profile among its peers.

Each of the three campuses has full-time employees who are available to help faculty and staff with media relations contacts and outreach, as well as to advise students on how to promote their own programs. The Stockton Media Relations office can be reached at 209.946.2311. The Sacramento office can be reached at 916.739.7115. The San Francisco office can be reached at 415.929.6433.
