Pacific's Continued Strength
University of the Pacific remains a strong, vibrant institution. Record numbers of prospective students applied for admission to the classes of 2013 and 2014; this August we welcomed the largest incoming class in our University's history. Our financial foundation is also sound: our endowments went up $16 million over the previous year, or about 9.7%, and we ended the fiscal year with a budget surplus for the 14th straight year. Moreover, we dedicated the splendid new Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium and made excellent progress on the construction of the John T. Chambers Technology Center, which was dedicated in October 2010.
