Online Webinars and Workshops
Hosted by EDUCAUSE, each of these free hour-long webinars features one or more guests who are experts and leaders in their fields. The topics range from the use of technology for purposes of teaching and learning to others of more interest to the technical provider. Enrollment is limited so participants are encouraged to register early. Delivered live by means of Adobe™ Connect®, the webinars are recorded and can be accessed at a later date from the EDUCAUSE Live! Archives. Typically the guest presenter(s) provides an initial presentation using slides, online resources, resources shared from their desktop, and/or feedback from participant polls, and then engage in dialogue with participants.
Wiley Learning Institute
Presented by Jossey-Bass, the Wiley Learning Institute is an online source for live and recorded professional development workshops. Intended to address the highest development needs identified by faculty and administrators, these 90-minute sessions are delivered live by means of AdobeTM Connect®. They are also recorded to be accessed at a later date. Though the workshops require a fee, the Center for Teaching has purchased a number of free passes for Pacific faculty members. Review the current Fall, 2012 Workshop Schedule and contact the CTL to request a free pass.
