Assistant Professor in Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to start in fall 2013. Exceptionally well-qualified candidates will be considered for higher ranks. Applicants must have a doctorate in Computer Science or closely related discipline. The primary qualification for this position is a strong interest and demonstrable potential for undergraduate education. Candidates should also be prepared to contribute to the MS Engineering Science program and to sustain a program of academic research. Candidates demonstrating a strong interest and potential in Software Engineering, Theoretical Computer Science, or Computer Networking will have prominence.

This is a unique faculty position opportunity in a great location. Pacific is located in central California with quick access to a number of hubs of technology and science, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Livermore and Sacramento. Salary is competitive with excellent fringe benefits.
