Call to Order: 3:04 p.m.

Minutes: Minutes for November 1 were reviewed and approved, with the following edits; McCallum being present, deletion of sentence under Consent Agenda, a change in wording under Program Changes.

Consent Agenda Items: 
Wilson directed the committee regarding the purpose of the committee and instructions on the Consent Agenda.  All Consent Agenda can be reviewed and approved as a whole.

Program Changes:
College of the Pacific
Brian Klunk, explained the request for the addition of POLS81 Career/ Internship Prep. The course would prepare students for workplace expectations and prime them for internship as a reflective process. It would be a 2 unit course, offered each semester.
Motion to approve: Unanimous. 

POLS81 would also be a requirement in Political Science Majors, with the option of students to use INTL151 as a substitute. 
Motion to approve: Unanimous.

Conservatory of Music
The addition of, MCOM9 Introduction to Music Technology, an existing course, as a new requirement for all Majors in Conservatory.
Motion to approve: Unanimous.

CAPP:
Clarification to the New Policy for Repeated Grade Averaging Implementation Plan was discussed. The policy will be implemented for all students in Fall 08. Courses repeated prior to Fall 08, up to end of Summer 2008, may be eligible for grade replacement through Grade Replacement Petition.
Motion to approve: Unanimous.

It was suggested to invite Brian Klunk, who has experience with CAPP, to the next meeting. The discussion will be continued for the February 2008 meeting.

Program Review Process:
Rob Brodnick presented an overview of Program Review Process. Suggestions included having a committee for the review. Should AA, a sub-committee or a new committee be formed for this process? A flowchart and diagram were reviewed and discussed. Academic Affairs has overview of Program Review. Comments and changes were encouraged for discussion at the February 2008 meeting.

Course Description Update Process:
A request initiated by the College to update catalog course descriptions was discussed. Council approved a one time change, for all schools wanting to update course descriptions, with no change in pre-requisites, units, or substantial changes. Departments will have overview of changes made to catalog; changes will be accepted until Feb 08.

The February 7, 2008 meeting will be extended, food will be provided.
