Grade Change - Online

Once grades have been rolled for the term, using the 'Change of Grade' tool is now available via insidePacific, Faculty menu.  See below for instructions. 

Note: Online 'Change of Grade' is available for courses you have taught from Fall 1994 forward.  If you need to change a grade prior to Fall 1994 then please email us at registrar@pacific.edu.

Instructions:

  • Log into insidePacific
  • Click Academic Tab
  • Click Academic Services,
  • Click Faculty menu
  • Click 'Change of Grade' located just under 'Final Grades'. 
  • Select the term for processing (Terms for courses you have taught from Fall 1994 forward will appear in the pull down)
  • Click 'Submit'
  • Select the CRN you wish to access (courses that you have taught for selected term will appear)
  • Click 'Submit'
  • Select new grade from the pull-down change of grade menu appropriate student
  • Select reason for new grade from the pull-down grade change reason menu
  • Click 'Submit'

 

Helpful notes:

  • You will get a message to the right, in green that indicates 'grade updated successfully' or in red if errors exist that you will need to address. 
  • There is a 90 minute time limit to submit any changes you have made.
  • The 'Completed Work Date' field is required ONLY if the current grade is 'I' or 'N' or grade change reason is 'Additional Work Completed'.
  • To change grades for courses in another term, go to the bottom of the screen and select 'Term Selection' and repeat the steps above.
  • To change grades for additional courses within the term, go to the bottom of the screen and select 'CRN Selection' and repeat the steps above.
  • You cannot change a grade after degree has been awarded. 
  • All grade changes, removals of incompletes, and transfer work transcripts necessary for completion of degree requirements, must be on file in the Office of the Registrar within one month after the last day of finals at Pacific for the semester in question.
