Closed course: This section is full. Try and register for another section or course. You may also go see the department for a possible override. Have the appropriate designee grant override approval online. Then go onto insidePacific and register for your course.
To search and/or register for another course:
- Click on Class Search near the bottom of the page, select department.
- Click on Find Classes.
- Select box next to appropriate class and/or if it has a lab or discussion select that class as well.
- Scroll to bottom and click on register class.
Link Error (Lecture and Lab/Discussion Classes)
Some courses require you to enroll concurrently in a lecture and lab or lecture and discussion. If an error occurs when adding a lecture, lab, or discussion, you must enter both Course Reference Numbers (CRN’s) for any new section. Example: BIOL 100 (CRN 12345) and BIOL 100 lab (CRN 23456).
You are an undergraduate and have attempted to register for a graduate course. First you must go see the Office of Research and Graduate Studies for approval. Once approved have the appropriate designee of the course grant online override approval. Then go onto insidePacific and register for your courses.
During the five-week sessions, a full student course load will be seven units, or eight units in two courses. During the four week session a full student course load is four units. Petitions to exceed these limits are to be submitted to the dean of the college or school with which the student is affiliated.

Day or time overlaps of courses. Select the course in which the time conflict has been worked out. Have the instructor for this course grant override approval online. Then go into insidePacific and register for your course.
Independent Study/Research Courses
Students registering for Independent Study, Independent Research, Graduate Research, Dissertation, and Thesis must complete arrangements with the professor who is to direct the work. Complete an Independent Study Request form found on the Registrar webpage (www.pacific.edu/registrar) under frequently used forms. All independent studies must be signed by the student and the instructor and approved by the designee. Present this completed form to the Office of the Registrar by the last day to add of the session. The date this completed form is received in the Office of the Registrar is considered the effective date of registration.
