William E. (Bill) Coen joined the University of the Pacific Team in 2000.  As assistant vice president, Bill will continue to provide leadership to the Pacific Alumni Association, as well as expand his role with support of the Lifelong Pacifican Engagement programs.  

Prior to his arrival at Pacific Bill, was at the University of Utah Alumni Association for more than 18 years.  Throughout his career he has been an active member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as a volunteer and professional mentor.  He has served CASE as District VII director and a commissioner on the Commission of Alumni Relations.

At Pacific, he oversees a staff of seven full-time and six student employees who are engaged in developing programs and activities for alumni and students of the Stockton campus.  The Alumni Relations team works with more than 250 alumni volunteers annually.  The Pacific Alumni Association is comprised of a 30-member board of directors that supports and advises the alumni relation's programs.  Pacific volunteers are engaged in planning and executing alumni reunions, regional activities and networking events.

Bill and his team were instrumental in developing plans and raising funds for the recently opened Alex and Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House.
