Student Philanthropy Council

As a member of the Student Philanthropy Council you will receive an inside look at University Development and be involved in the marketing and campaigns aimed at raising awareness among your peers. You will receive unique experiences such as meeting key leaders on campus and providing a student perspective on philanthropy.

Jasmine Carter

Jasmine Carter '14

Major: Sociology

Why I am on the SPC? I love the idea of giving back and helping to make a difference no matter how large or small. I want to create a culture of philanthropy here at Pacific.

Involvement on campus: Student Advisor in Residence, member of Delta Delta Delta, Student Advisor, Pacific Athletics, and Student Coordinator for SPC

Why I am on the SPC? I joined the SPC so that I can help to foster the spirit of philanthropy on the Pacific campus.

Why I am on the SPC? I believe in everyone having a fair chance at education and to attend Pacific. I know if it wasn't for alumni generosity I wouldn't be here.

Why I am on the SPC? Nothing beats the feeling you get when you help someone else.

Why I am on the SPC? I wanted to be more involved with the Pacific community and help get other students excited about Pacific. Also, I feel that the Council will help me grow as a leader.

Why I am on the SPC? I joined the Student Philanthropy Council because I wanted some more experience in event planning as well as fundraising. I also like to encourage philanthropy early on so that Pacific can continue to have big support from their alumni.   

Involvement on campus: Vietnamese Student Association(VSA), Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Committee(APIHMC), and Origami Club

Why I am on the SPC? I would like to contribute to as many philanthropy efforts as possible before I leave University of the Pacific. In my last semester I would like to give back to Pacific in any way I can to show my gratitude.

Involvement on campus: Pacific Outdoor Connection, Member of  Sigma Chi, Voluntary Action Group Leader for the CCI, Resident Assistant for HGL, Hasher for Kappa Alpha Theta, Mortar Board, and a member of the scout team for Women's Basketball
