Pacific Field Hockey: Tigers Announce 2010 Schedule
Head Coach Linda MacDonald and the Pacific field hockey team will have their hands full in the 2010 season. The Tigers are slated to take on three top 20 teams including six-time national champion Maryland while only seeing three games on their home field.
Opening the regular season at home, Pacific faces off against NorPac rival Stanford on Aug 27 before going on a 12-game road outing that includes trips to New Hampshire, Vermont, Missouri, Delaware and Maryland.
Pacific finally returns home on Oct. 22 to face California in the second of four straight conference games to close out the regular season. The Tigers will be seeking revenge for their losses to Maine and Towson last season and will see Michigan State and Miami (Ohio) for the first time since 2008.
It has been two years since the Tigers have played Vermont, and three and four years, respectively, since they last faced St. Louis and Delaware.
After playing in 15 games, Pacific will close out its season at home against UC Davis for the second year in a row. MacDonald is entering her 13th year at the helm of the Tigers.
