Pacific McGeorge Makes Best Grad Schools List

Apr 16, 2010

Pacific McGeorge School of Law was ranked in the top 100 law schools in the U.S. News & World Report's 2011 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools, released on Thursday.

But that wasn't the only honor for the school. Pacific McGeorge also ranked at fifth in the nation for its advocacy program, 15th for its international law program, and 43rd for its part-time student program. Additionally, it was ranked 40th out of 200 ABA law schools for diversity.

"In my view, there is probably no more important ranking than that for diversity," said Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker, dean of the law school. "As this week's student-run Diversity Week programs remind us, this is core to the education we provide our students and essential, if they are to succeed in a global world."

The rankings came from surveys of more than 1,200 programs and some 12,400 academics and professionals that were conducted in fall 2009. The full rankings for all graduate schools can be found online at http://www.usnews.com/articles/education/best-graduate-schools/2010/04/15/about-the-best-graduate-schools-rankings.html.
