Super Bowl Champion and Stockton Native Lynell Hamilton to Sign Autographs this Saturday at Pacific Men's Basketball Game
The Pacific Athletic Department is proud to announce that running back Lynell Hamilton of the Super Bowl Champions New Orleans Saints will be signing autographs prior to the Pacific Men's Basketball vs. Long Beach State this Saturday night at the Spanos Center.
Hamilton just completed his second season with the Saints where he spent time playing both running back and special teams. Prior to career in the NFL, Hamilton played for San Diego State were he earned Freshman of Year Honors in the Mountain West Conference and was named First Team freshman All-American. Hamilton was a standout running back at Edison High School in Stockton.
Hamilton is excited about the opportunity to meet some of his fans from the Stockton community.
"If somebody had said to me after the game, 'Lynell Hamilton, the New Orleans Saints have just won the Super Bowl, what are you going to do next?' I might have said, I'm going to Disneyland - but what I would be thinking is that the happiest place on earth for me is home--with my family and friends," Hamilton said. "Stockton is home.
"Being a part of the New Orleans Saints, winning the Super Bowl, and experiencing the type of National recognition that comes along with these things isn't like anything I ever imagined. But I have to say, nothing compares to the satisfaction I have gotten from coming back to my hometown and seeing the sense of pride that others are experiencing vicariously through my accomplishments. I love my city, Stockton is home and Stockton is where I hope to have many of my future successes by being able to give back to the community that helped raise me."
Doors on Saturday will open at 6 p.m. and tip off time is set for 7 p.m. For tickets visit PacificTigers.com or call 209-946-2474
