    Pacific women's swimming: Tigers Defeated by Fresno State, 130-107

    The women's swim team fell to Fresno State on Thursday, January 14 by a score of 130-107. With the loss Pacific drops to 4-4 on the season.

    In the 1000 Free, the Tigers snagged the top three places, with senior KC Albiston (Salt Lake City, Utah) finishing first in 10:35.66. The next Tiger to finish was freshman Jenna Chaplin (Nassau, Bahamas) at 10:50.60 and sophomore Ellen Barton (Modesto, Calif) took third, touching at 11:00.23.

    Sophomore Elena Walterman (Framingham, Mass.) registered a first place finish with a time of 1:55.25 in the 200 Free. Sophomore Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.) finished third in the same event with a time of 1:56.95. Walterman would later take firs tin the 200 FLy posting a time of 2:04.67.

    Pacific seniors recorded a first and second place finish in the 200 IM. Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) was the first to finish at 2:08.38 and Melissa McGhee (Elk Grove, Calif.) touched shortly after at 2:09.91.

    Migues took another first place finish with a time of 2:20.93 in the 200 Breast. She also took second with a 53.50 in the 100 Free.

    Pacific marked another top three finish in the 500 Free with Swalin taking the first spot with a time of 5:07.08. Albiston was the next to touch at 5:10.64, and Chaplin at 5:15.75.

    In the 400 Free Relay, Albiston, freshman Mallory McGowan (Colusa, Calif.), Swalin, and Walterman combined for a second place finish with a time of 3:36.49.

    The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday in Davis to take on UC Davis for a 1:00 pm start time.
