    Pacific Women's Swimming: Tigers Fall to San Jose State, 208-71

    The Pacific women's swim team was defeated by the San Jose State Spartans on Sunday, January 17 by a score of 208-71. UC Davis competed in the meet as well, but opted to not score against Pacific. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 4-6 on the season.

    In the 1000 Free, senior KC Albiston (Salt Lake City, Utah) swam a 10:31.45 to take second for the event. The next swimmer to touch at 10:35.45 was sophomore Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.), taking third-place.

    Junior Maggie Eicks (Houston, Texas) posted a third-place finish for the Tiger in the 100 Back with a time of 59.23. Another third-place time was registered by freshman Mallory McGowan (Colusa, Calif.), who swam a 1:06.82 in the 100 Breast. Senior Melissa McGhee (Elk Grove, Calif.) touched second in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:06.50.

    Senior Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) posted a time of 2:24.35 in the 200 Breast to capture second place. McGowan finished at 2:29.15 to take fourth in the event.

    Swalin registered a time of 5:10.11 in the 500 Free to finish second. Albiston finished just after at 5:10.26 to take third.

    McGhee earned Pacific's only first-place finish of the day, with a time of 2:09.56 in the 200 IM.

    The Tigers race against San Jose State on January 23 for a 12:00 pm start time at Chris Kjeldsen Pool.
