    Women's Water Polo: Dara Tawarahara Earns ACWPC All-American Honors

    Dara Tawarahara of Pacific's women's water polo team earned her first All-America award as she was named to the Honorable Mention Team by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

    Tawarahara is the third women's water polo player in school history to be named an All-American by the ACWPC, the others were Jessica Schroeder (2003, 2005) and Molly Smith (1997-2000).

    Tawarahara finished the 2010 season as the third leading scorer in conference play and Pacific's second leading scorer with 64 goals in 33 contests for a 1.94 goals per game average. Additionally she was named the Big West Player of the Week on March 24 after scoring nine goals. Tawarahara earned her second All-Conference team selection after being named to the All-Conference first team in 2009.
