Pacific Men's Basketball - Joe Ford Earns CollegeInsider.com Defensive All-America Honors

Mar 31, 2010
Tiger senior Joe Ford (Altadena, Calif.) has been named a CollegeInsider.com Defensive All-American, in an announcement released today.

One of the top defenders in school history, Joe is the only Tiger to gather at least 100 steals and 50 blocks. He finished his outstanding career with 125 steals and 61 blocks. His steals are the third best total in school history and stands in ninth place on the career blocks list. He was also named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2008-09 and 2009-10.

The Tigers finished the 2009-10 season 23-12, tying for the sixth most wins in school history.

Rather then assembling first, second, third and fourth team squads, the collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Defensive All-America team is one team consisting of 20 players. Division I coaches and NBA scouts are part of the selection process, but final decision rests with the collegeinsider.com staff.
