Pacific Men's Basketball: Thomason Named CollegeInsider.com Big West Coach of the Year

Pacific Men's Basketball Head Coach Bob Thomason was named CollegeInsider.com Big West Conference Coach of the Year on Wednesday, March 10.

Basketball Coach Bob Thomason addresses fansThe Tigers are the 2009-10 Big West Conference co-champions, winning 20 games heading into the Big West Tournament this Friday in Anaheim. It is the 13th 20-win season in school history, with Thomason at the helm for nine of those years.

Thomason has 384 wins in his 22 years as the head coach for Pacific, and is the 32nd winningest active coach in the NCAA and 10th on the list of Most Seasons With Current School. He is the second coach in Big West history to record 300 wins during Big West membership and has 221 Big West wins, which is the most in league history.

Pacific is next in action on Friday, March 12 at the Big West Tournament in Anaheim. The Tigers play in the semi-final round at 9:00 p.m.
