    Pacific Women's Tennis - Widjaja To Face Marand In NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championships Opener

    Pacific junior Jenifer Widjaja (Sao Roque, Brazil) will face North Carolina's Sanaz Marand in the opening round of the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Singles Tennis Championships in Athens, Ga., on Wednesday, May 26. It marks her second straight trip to the tournament since joining the team last season. Live video from the courts can be found at the NCAA Championships link listed above.

    No. 82 Widjaja was the highest ranked athlete in the Big West and went undefeated in conference play. She boasts a 30-7 overall record which gave her Pacific's record for the most wins in a single season. She was named the 2010 Big West Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Year.

    Hosted by the University of Georgia, this year's singles and doubles tournament will run May 26-31 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
