Barnes & Noble and University of the Pacific Athletics Team up for annual Holiday Book Drive
Barnes & Noble announced today that they will be partnering with the Athletic Department at University of the Pacific for this year's annual Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive. This year's book drive begins November 1st and will benefit the Mary Graham Children's Shelter, a long time Stockton and San Joaquin County institution whose mission is to provide support and education for thousands of our foster and homeless children in our region.
In their partnership with University of the Pacific Athletics, every book purchased for the Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive is good for a ticket to the University of the Pacific Men's Basketball game versus the visiting CSU Stanislaus Warriors on Saturday, December 11th. Tickets are available at the University of the Pacific Box Office or Spanos Center Ticket Window with a stamped receipt from the Barnes & Noble stores in Stockton, Tracy and Modesto.
"We're very excited to be partnering with Barnes & Noble on their Holiday Book Drive this year", said Director of Athletics Marketing Georgia Kovich-Lee. "We have received tremendous support over the years from the Stockton and San Joaquin County community, and partnering with Barnes & Noble to bring the gift of literacy to hundreds of children in our area this holiday season is our way of saying thank you for that support."
