Pacific Women's Volleyball: Tigers To Host Veteran Appreciation Night On Friday, Senior Night Saturday

    Nov 3, 2010

With the final home weekend of the 2010 women's volleyball team approaching, the Tigers are gearing up for a very special weekend which will include honoring those who are serving and have served in the United State's military with Pacific's first annual Veterans Appreciation Night on Friday, November 5. The Tigers will be showing support for troops serving at home and abroad by donning specially-designed camouflaged uniforms for the match.

Joining the efforts already put in place by Pacific's baseball team which has hosted Salute the Troops days for the last two seasons, Pacific's match on Friday night will be women's volleyball's first night devoted to veterans. All military personnel including veterans, active duty and reserves are admitted free to the match with a valid military ID. For more information, call the Pacific Box Office at (209) 946-2474.

On Saturday, November 6, the weekend's festivities will continue with a celebration of senior Svenja Engelhardt, who will be playing her final match in front of the Tiger faithful at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Engelhardt has spent four seasons in the Spanos Center and has etched her name among the all-time greats who have worn the Orange and Black. To witness Engelhardt's final home match, call the Pacific Box Office at (209) 946-2474.
