    Pacific Men's Basketball - Pacific Announces 2010-11 Men's Baskeball Schedule

    The Pacific Men's Basketball team will face Nevada on Nov. 15 in the first round of the 2010 Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off to highlight the 2010-11 schedule. UCLA is the host of the West Regional at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. The Bruins will play Pepperdine in the regional's other first round game with the two winners meeting on Nov. 16th with a consolation game also taking place that day.

    The Tigers are slated to face three teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season and there are four total teams on the schedule that advanced to postseason play. The schedule is tentative and is subject to change due to potential television matchups.

    Pacific's home opener is an exhibition game against Sonoma State on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 3:00 p.m. All fans will be admitted free to the Halloween matinee for Community Day. The Tigers open the regular season on Nov. 12 at UTEP, then head to the Preseason NIT at UCLA. Pacific opens the 2010-11 Big West schedule with a road game at Cal State Northridge on Dec. 28.

    There are a potential of five television games for the Tigers, beginning with the second round of the Preseason NIT on Nov. 16 on ESPNU, the Jan. 15 game at Long Beach State on Fox Sports West and the Feb. 3 game at defending Big West co-champion UC Santa Barbara on ESPNU. For the sixth straight year, Pacific will take part in ESPN BracketBusters on February 19 in a road game. The Tigers' Feb. 26 game at UC Irvine is a wildcard TV game, as it is one of four games being chosen from for three games televised by ESPN2, ESPNU and Fox Sports West.

    Prior to the official practice season, the Tigers will host the annual Tigers In Tennies event for area youngsters on October 13 at 5:30 p.m., followed by the traditional Midnight Mania event to tipoff the practice season on October 15 at 10:00 p.m. Both events will be held in the Alex G. Spanos Center.
