    Pacific Golf: Rebounding From Day One, Pacific Finishes in Third At The Saint Mary's Invitational

    Looking to continue their momentum from the finish to day one, the Pacific golf team moved up one spot on the final day of the Saint Mary's Invitational to finish the tournament in third place on Tuesday, October 26. The Tigers completed play at the invitational with a +5, 293 to tally +18, 882 for the tournament.

    Overall the Tigers finished one shot behind the host Gaels for second place at the Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Courses and behind the tournament champion Fighting Irish of Notre Dame who completed play at the two day event at -3 overall.

    Playing the Bayonet Course for the final round, senior T.J. Bordeaux put his first round struggles behind him in the third and final round to card Pacific's best round of the day with a -1, 71. Despite shooting his worst round of the season in the morning session of day one, Bordeaux roared back over the final two rounds of the tournament to finish in the top-10 individually at No. 9 overall. For the two days, Bordeaux shot +3 after putting together, back-to-back under-par rounds to shoot -5 over the final two rounds.

    Behind Bordeaux sat the rest of the Tiger squad as sophomore Alex Edfort and seniors Alex Johnson and Patrick Kucich all finished tied for No. 22 after completing their tournaments at +7, 223. The trio finished the final round withing one shot of each other as Johnson finished +1 while Edfort came in at +2 and Kucich at +3.

    Pacific's finish at the Saint Mary's Invitational was the team's best finish of the season to date giving the Tigers momentum heading into their own tournament next week. The Tigers will host their annual Pacific Invitational beginning on Monday, November 1 at Brookside Country Club. The three day tournament will finish on Wednesday, November 3.
