Tickets on Sale for Pacific Women’s Basketball Matchup With UConn
Tickets for the Pacific women's basketball game against defending national champion Connecticut, presented by W. L. Butler, are on sale now at the Pacific Box Office. The Tigers take on the Huskies at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2010 at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Single-game tickets for the match-up are available at Pacific Box Office with reserved chair back seat at a price of $8, and $6 general admission for the bleachers. Pacific will also offer a group rate of $4 per ticket to groups of 10 or more. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted free to the general admission sections courtesy of Wells Fargo.
"We're excited to be hosting what is arguably the best team in the history of women's college basketball," Pacific head coach Lynne Roberts said. "This is a fantastic opportunity to play host their team in front of our fans here in Stockton. We anticipate that this game will generate a lot of excitement in the community. If you're a young basketball player in the area, you're going to want to come see this game. It will be a great atmosphere."
The Huskies have won 78 consecutive games, 10 shy of the NCAA basketball record set by the UCLA men from 1971 to 1974. The 78 wins include back-to-back undefeated and national championship seasons dating back to their loss in the 2008 Final Four.
Pacific will return 10 players from last year's squad, including three starters. Pacific's top four scorers from last season, junior forward Christina Thompson, sophomore guard Erica McKenzie, junior guard Eliza Dy, and senior guard Jennifer Fath, all return, as does senior guard Claire McLeod.
The Pacific Box Office is located at Long Theater on the campus of University of the Pacific at 1040 Dave Brubeck Way. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
