Strawberry Breakfast for the Whole Family

    Apr 5, 2011

Celebrate 80 years of tradition by treating your family to a delicious strawberry breakfast. The Center for Community Involvement (CCI) is hosting its 80th Annual Strawberry Breakfast Sunday, May 1st, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at University of the Pacific's Regent's Dining Room. Strawberry Breakfast tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for students and children. Advanced ticket purchases are strongly encouraged to secure your spot at this once a year opportunity.

The menu will include locally grown vine-ripened strawberries, freshly baked scones, eggs, homemade jam, juice and coffee.

"As the oldest nonprofit fundraiser in Stockton this event has become somewhat of a legacy," said Gabriel Chaparro, this year's Strawberry Breakfast coordinator. "It is an honor to be working on a project with a rich history that supports our community."

This spring tradition was started by the Anderson Y Center and continues to provide an opportunity to celebrate over 130 years of service and collaboration between Pacific students and Stockton residents.

The Strawberry Breakfast is CCI's largest fundraiser of the year; proceeds will benefit families taking advantage of tutoring programs. Other programs organized by the CCI include volunteer services and Saturday Partners in Education, which is designed to make college more accessible to local youth. The CCI gratefully accept monetary contributions to help us sustain our commitment to the community.

Traditionally the breakfast is held on Mother's Day but due to changes in Pacific's academic calendar, the fundraiser will be held a week early this year.

Tickets for the breakfast will be available at the door or can be purchase from the CCI by calling 209.946.2444.
