Emergency Simulation on January 4, 2012

    Dec 21, 2011

From 8 a.m. to Noon on January 4, 2012, the University will host an emergency simulation with the Stockton Fire Department. During the simulation, an emergency will be replicated in Grace Covell Hall. Fire trucks and ambulances will respond to the residence hall as if there were a real emergency happening.

During the simulation, parking along President's Drive, including the parking in Sorority and Fraternity circles, and to the west and north of Grace Covell will be off-limits for the morning. The parking will be made off-limits that day to prevent anyone from being blocked in and unable to access their automobile during the exercise. Employees who normally park in those areas will be directed to park in Lot 7, behind the fraternity and sorority houses. Those needing to leave campus will still be able to do so along Chapel Lane.

The purpose of holding the joint exercise is to be better prepared for real emergencies. The simulation also fulfills a requirement from the U.S. Department of Education that all colleges and universities hold at least one simulation per year.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
