University of the PACIFIC

The Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium, an international competition for young female bassoonists, will take place at the University of the Pacific Jan 6-8, 2012.  The  three-day event will include master classes, presentations, performances, and semi-final and final rounds featuring students from 5 states and 3 foreign countries. Artists and judges have been assembled from distinguished institutions across the United States.  Cash prizes totaling over $20,000 will be awarded to the finalists.  Individual events are listed on the Conservatory website.  For more information, contact Conservatory professor Nicolasa Kuster.
