WASC Update

Dec 2, 2011

Dear Faculty, Students and Staff,

Pacific is now approaching completion of the final phase of the re-accreditation process with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).   The goal of this phase of the process is to assess educational effectiveness at Pacific and to report on our progress in this area. The Educational Effectiveness Review Report (EER) describes the work of the faculty and staff in assessing how well we are upholding the mission of the University in meeting our educational goals.  The EER report also makes recommendations for improvement.  During the first week of January, we will send this report along with many supporting materials to the members of the WASC Visiting Team, which will visit campus on April 2-4, 2012.

Your input on the work that has been done to date is important. Please read the draft EER report and send comments or suggestions to Brian Klunk, the chair of our re-accreditation process, (bklunk@pacific.edu) no later than Friday, December 9, 2011.

Thank you for the time and effort in reading and commenting on the report at this very busy part of the year.

Brian E. Klunk, Ph.D.                                  Maria Pallavicini, Ph.D.
