    Jan 14, 2011

The month of February is dental health month for children. At Pacific Dental Care Clinic located at the University of the Pacific Health Science campus in Stockton, in collaboration with Lincoln Unified School district will bus about 400 children to our clinic throughout the month of January and February for a visual examination (to meet state requirements) and fluoride varnish during this visit at no charge.

Both the AEGD dental residency program and the dental hygiene program will participate. The children will range in ages from 4 to 5. Approximately 40 to 45 children will be bused to the clinic at each visit. Any children who have visible decay or exhibit symptoms and do not have a primary dentist will be offer an appointment back for treatment at no cost. This is our third annual event with Lincoln Unified Schools.

Additionally, Pacific is teaming up with several dental organizations in Northern California to host "Give Kids a Smile" clinics in Stockton, San Francisco and Union City. More information about those clinics can be found online.
