Pacific MBB - Willard And Huddleston Earn All-Big West Honors

Pacific senior Sam Willard (Pierre, S. D.) and sophomore Allen Huddleston (Merced, Calif.) each earned all-league honors when the league's yearly awards were announced on Monday, March 7. Willard earned First Team All-Big West Conference honors, while Huddleston received Honorable Mention accolades.

Willard leads the team and the conference with 10.6 rebounds per game, and is 10th in the nation in that category. He is also the team leader in scoring (15.0 ppg) and blocks (22). Willard is the only Tiger in program history to record 1,000 points, 800 rebounds and 80 steals. Sam leads the conference and is seventh in the nation with 18 double-doubles on the year. He has two Big West Player of the Week awards this year, in the first two weeks of the season. It is the second Big West postseason award for Sam.

Huddleston is second on the team with 10.8 points per game. He leads the team with 33 steals and is second with 54 three-pointers. He had a career-high 23 points against UC Riverside on Jan. 29, hitting six three-pointers. It is Huddleston's second Big West postseason honorHe earned Big West Conference All-Freshman Team honors last year.

The Tigers play in the quarter-final round of the Big West Tournament on Thursday, March 10 at 2:30 p.m. with a game against UC Santa Barbara.
