    Pacific Freshman Ricky Garcia to sing at Carnegie Hall

    University of the Pacific Freshman and Tenor, Ricky Garcia, will be headlining a recital at Carnegie Hall in January of 2013 as part of a world-wide concert series sponsored by Listen for LifeTM.

    The Listen for LifeTM Network was founded by internationally-known classical musician Donna Stoering to bring a more diverse musical experience to a worldwide audience.  Listen for Life is a global family of music listeners, performers, and producers, working together to restore music as an enriching channel of communication worldwide. Thus far, Listen for Life volunteers, projects, programs, or productions (in over 50 countries) have impacted the lives of over 9 million people!

    Mr. Garcia is in his first year at Pacific and has already appeared as a soloist in the enormously successful music review Follies produced by Professor James Haffner.  He will appear in the Pacific Opera spring production of The Magic Flute in the lead role of Tamino.  Ricky is from nearby Castro Valley and is a student of Professor Daniel Ebbers.
