    13th Annual Safe Trick-or-Treat Event

    Pacific's annual Halloween celebration
    Oct 5, 2011

It's almost that time again for Pacific's yearly Halloween celebration. The 13th Annual Safe Trick-or-Treat event is coming up at the end of October. Pacific's largest community service activity is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy trick or treating. During the event, members of the Pacific community will hand out candy to children as they pass through campus office buildings and residence halls while on guided trick or treating tours. Last year, an estimated 5,000 children and adults took part in the trick or treat tours and carnival.

This year's event will take place on Wednesday, October 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The guided tours will begin at the Atchley Clock Tower on south campus and end at the DeRosa University Center lawn where a carnival will take place. All Pacific faculty and staff are welcome to bring their families and children to the free event. Feel free to take part in guided tour stops or just the carnival.

    Volunteers Needed
In order to make this event successful, we need your help. The event planning committee is looking for Pacific offices and departments to serve as stops on the trick or treat tours during the event. Staff members in departments that serve as tour stops are asked to decorate their space and provide candy for the children who are trick or treating. Tours depart every 10 minutes and continue until 6:15 p.m. This is a great opportunity to interact with and serve families in the local community.
