Strawberry Breakfast for the Whole Family

An 81 year old Spring Tradition
Apr 2, 2012

Stockton's oldest annual fundraiser - The Center for Community Involvement's (CCI) Annual Strawberry Breakfast Sunday - will soon sweeten your Sunday. The popular breakfast, which features fresh strawberries served with eggs and other morning foods, event will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 29th at University of the Pacific's Regents Dining Room.

This spring tradition, started by the Anderson Y Center 81 years ago, continues to provide an opportunity to celebrate more than 130 years of service and collaboration between Pacific students and Stockton residents.

"This event is about combining friendship, food, and community to help students take on today's academic challenges," said Gabriel Chaparro, the Strawberry Breakfast coordinator. "Through tutoring and other community programs, the Center for Community Involvement equips students to take on these difficulties they may face."

The Strawberry Breakfast is the CCI's largest fundraiser. Proceeds benefit local students through our tutoring programs. Other programs organized by the CCI include community service opportunities and educational enrichment designed to promote college to local youth.

The CCI gratefully accepts monetary contributions to help sustain our commitment to the community.

Strawberry Breakfast tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and children. The menu includes locally grown strawberries, freshly baked scones, eggs, homemade jam, juice and coffee. Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased from the CCI by calling 209.946.2444. Advanced ticket purchases are strongly encouraged.
