Pacific Men's Basketball Adds Aaron Short For 2012-13

Apr 16, 2012

University of the Pacific Head Men's Basketball Coach Bob Thomason has announced the signing of Aaron Short for the 2012-13 season.

Short is a 6-3 guard from Reno, Nevada. He is finishing up his second year at Cabrillo College where he was a teammate of current Tiger Markus Duran in 2010-11. Aaron led the Seahawks to a 24-4 record in 2011-12, and a 12-0 mark in Coast Conference play to win the South title. Cabrillo advanced to the state's Elite Eight for the first time in school history. He scored a team-best 15.2 points per game, leading the Seahawks with 53 three-pointers. Short was second on the team with 188 rebounds and had 53 steals on the year. He earned First Team All-State accolades, along with All-Coast Conference First Team honors.

"Aaron is a strong, athletic wing that will bring strong rebounding and solid three-point shooting to the program," said Thomason.
