Beeman And Padilla Named Top 20 Student-Athletes In Big West

Pacific Women's Soccer juniors Brittni Beeman and Maricela Padilla were both selected among the top 20 players in the Big West Conference by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

"We're really honored that Top Drawer Soccer recognized the contributions that Brittni and Maricela made this season," said head coach Keith Coleman. "It's an honor to be included with the other top players from the conference and we are for their senior season."

Beeman is a three-time Big West honoree, after being named Big West Freshman of the Year two years ago and Honorable Mention All-Big West in each of her first two years. She earned All-Big West Second Team honors in 2012. She once again anchored the Tigers' backline, while scoring four goals. She scored all four goals in the final three games of the year for the Tigers. Beeman has started 52 of her 53 career appearances and is eighth on the Big West active career leaders list with nine asissts

Padilla led the Tigers with five goals on the year and was also the team leader with 54 shots. She added two assists for 12 points on the year, ranking 11th in the league in points per game. Maricela was tied for ninth in the league in goals scored and finished the year sixth among active career leaders with 14 goals in her time at Pacific. She has earned two Big West awards, after earning All-Big West Honorable Mention honors in 2009 and Second Team honors in 2012.
