United Way Campaign Update

Dec 17, 2012

With only a few weeks left in the calendar year, the University's United Way campaign is still moving forward. As of Friday, December 14, the total of funds raised or pledged is $105,140.16 and participation is at 32%.

"I want to thank everyone who has donated to help get us to 88% of our $120,000 goal," says campaign chair Lynn King. "We are so fortunate to work at a place like Pacific but many in our community are much less fortunate. We will continue our campaign until we reach our goal, so please, if you have not made a commitment, do so today. Your contribution can make a difference in the lives of the people and families in Stockton and San Joaquin County."

Thanks to those departments who have exceeded the participation goals within their departments: CPCE, the Office of Communications, Business and Finance, Benerd School of Education, the Library, the President's Office, University Development and the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences have all achieved 45% or greater participation.

Remember there are still drawings to come for first time donors to the Unviersity's United Way campaign, and an overall drawing for all participants for parking passes for the 2013-14 school year. Every gift makes a difference, either one-time or through annual pledge, and our combined participation is tremendous confirmation of the University's commitment to our community. Remember. you can contribute to any 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

If you have any questions, contact your department's campaign coordinator or Lynn King at 209.946.2889.
