"Miss Representation" Screening and Discussion with Filmmaker

Mar 6, 2012

Join us Tuesday, March 13 for a screening of one of the most celebrated documentaries of the year, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, Jennifer Siebel Newsom. The film explores how the media's misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence. Miss Representation premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and has been aired on OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network.

The screening will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Pacific's Janet Leigh Theatre. Immediately following the screening will be a discussion and reception with Jennifer Siebel Newsom from 7:30 - 8:30pm. It is free and open to the public.

This event is co-sponsored by Pacific Arts and Lectures.
