Mar 7, 2012

The San Joaquin Entrepreneur Challenge is an "American Idol" style, multi-round business-plan competition with expert and audience judging.

Eight contestants have survived Round 1 and are ready to compete in the final two rounds of the Entrepreneur Challenge on March 21. The eight semi-finalists will make five-minute business plan presentations to the audience and judges. Four finalists will then be selected to participate in a business simulation to select the two winning businesses. Winners will receive awards of cash and services worth $24,000. The event will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 at the Stockton Country Club.

The competition is presented by the San Joaquin Angels investor group, in partnership with the University of the Pacific and several regional economic development organizations.
