An Evening with Author Andrew Lam

Join University of the Pacific in celebrating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month by welcoming author Andrew Lam, who will give a lecture on Thursday, March 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Wendell Phillips Center (WPC). While still in school, Lam won the Outstanding Young Journalist Award in 1993. Currently the web editor of New America Media, Lam is a journalist, short story writer, and author of two books: "Perfume Dreams: Reflections on the Vietnamese Diaspora (2005)," winner of the Pen American Beyond Margins Award, and "East Eats West: Writing in Two Hemispheres (2010)".

The event is sponsored by Ethnic Studies, COP Dean's Office, English Department, Writing in the Disciplines, Humanities Center, Office of the Provost, and Ethnic Studies Club.
