In The Polls
Pacific sits outside of the top 20 in this week's Collegiate Water Polo Association poll. The Tigers opened this season as one of six teams receiving votes, marking the first time since Feb. 10, 2010, that Pacific was not ranked.

UC Davis is currently ranked 11th in the CWPA poll while Maryland is the No. 13 team in the nation.

Series vs. Maryland
This is the second meeting all-time between Maryland and Pacific with the Terrapins winning the series' lone contest. The first and only match in the series took place back on Mar. 21, 2007, as Maryland defeated the Tigers, 12-7, at the Chris Kjeldsen Aquatics Complex. Head coach Megan Thomson is 0-1 all-time versus Maryland.

Series vs. UC Davis
This is the 40th meeting all-time between UC Davis and Pacific with the Aggies owning a commanding 35-4 lead in the all-time series. The two squads first met back on Mar. 2, 1996 in Santa Barbara, with UC Davis winning, 11-2. The Aggies won the series' first 16 matches before the Tigers claimed their first win over UC Davis in the 2001 season. Pacific is 2-2 versus the Aggies in the last four meetings, and is 3-13 all-time in matches played at the Chris Kjeldsen Aquatics Complex.

The most recent meeting took place on Apr. 29, 2011, as UC Davis defeated the Tigers, 8-4, in a Big West Tournament first-round match in Santa Barbara. The Aggies jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first quarter and held a 5-2 lead at the half. They extended their lead to four, 7-3, at the end of the third before playing even with Pacific in the final frame. Sophomore goalkeeper Michele Relton blocked 12 shots while sophomore Elise Martin recorded two assists and three steals.

Head coach Megan Thomson is 2-9 all-time versus UC Davis, including a 1-2 mark in matches played at Kjeldsen Pool.

Charting Coach Thomson
Pacific Women's Water Polo head coach Megan Thomson is 72-103 (.411) in six years on the deck for the Tigers. Her 72 career wins make her third among active Big West coaches.

Thomson's first career victory as a head coach came against Cal State East Bay on Feb. 18, 2007, when Pacific won 16-13. She won her 25th match on Feb. 12, 2010, after leading the Tigers to an 11-4 win over Santa Clara. She won her 50th match on Feb. 13, 2011, when the Tigers routed George Washington 14-6 at the Princeton Invitational in New Jersey.

Thomson is 23-28 (.451) in matches played at the Chris Kjeldsen Aquatics Complex, including a 12-4 (.750) mark in the last two seasons.
