With a Song in My Heart
(1952) Starring Susan Hayward, Rory Calhoun, David Wayne, Thelma Ritter. The film is based on the life of Broadway singer Jane Froman who was crippled in a plane crash during WWII while traveling overseas on a USO tour. Susan Hayward stars as Jane Froman. Froman's own voice is used in the singing.
"With a Song in My Heart" is true story of courage and inspiration. Saved from the crash in the murky waters of Lisbon Harbor by the co-pilot of the plane, Jane Froman almost lost her left leg. She underwent surgery after surgery and performed the rest of her life in braces and special harnesses.

Life with Father
(1947) Starring William Powell, Irene Dunne, Elizabeth Taylor, Edmund Gwenn, Zazu Pitts. Powell plays Clarence Day, a successful New York stock broker in 1883 who is both eccentric and frugal. Mr. Day has his challenge when his God-fearing wife finds out he's never been baptized and insists the issue must to be rectified. A great comedy and a wonderful slice of Americana. In TECHNICOLOR.
