Tigers Drop Opener On France Tour At Tremblay, 78-65
The Pacific men's basketball team opened a five game tour of France with a 78-65 loss at Tremblay Athletique Club in Tremblay, France on Monday, Aug. 13.
The Tigers fell behind 5-0 in the opening moments, before junior Ross Rivera scored on a three-point play to give Pacific a 7-5 lead with six minutes to play in the first quarter. Tremblay reclaimed the lead and extended it to 24-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers would play catch up the rest of the way. Twice they cut the lead to single digits but were unable to get closer.
Rivera led Pacific with 18 points, while junior Tim Thomas had 12 points off the bench. Kamel Ammour led Tremblay with 21 points.
In the second game of the tour, the Tigers will travel to play Vanves on Tuesday, Aug. 14. The game can be listened to online at http://pacifictigers.com.
