Holiday Roar - Roarin' Good Holiday Fun

On Tuesday, November 27, from 4 - 7 pm, the Pacific family will gather in the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center for a "Holiday Roar"
Nov 14, 2012

The Holiday Roar all-university holiday party has all the makings of a new Pacific holiday tradition. There will be a tree-lighting and interfaith holiday presentation, yummy winter comfort food, great music by the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet, loads of activities for the whole family, and -yes, you heard correctly -a "Craziest Christmas Sweater Contest."

Yes, it's time to drag out that really ugly Christmas sweater you've been embarrassed to wear and enter into the fun.  Secret judges will be roaming the reception area to select a favorite - the winner gets $100 for their department or club's holiday party!

Children can help decorate a giant gingerbread house, enjoy a story time at the reading nook or have the Balloon Man create fun balloon animals while waiting for a visit from Santa.

President Eibeck will also share the outcome of the month-long book drive for Reach Out and Read (ROAR) San Joaqin, a local nonprofit that works with pediatricians to provide books to needy children during check-ups. ROAR volunteers also work with families to make reading a fun family activity.

To close out the evening, President Eibeck will read an "original" holiday poem with a Pacific flair, "The Night Before Winter Break."

Don't miss out on this Roarin' Good Time for Pacific Students, faculty and staff and their families!
