Pacific Men's Basketball Signs Bowles And Wallace For 2013-14
University of the Pacific has announced the signing of Ray Bowles and T.J. Wallace for the 2013-14 season. Both student-athletes are seniors at Modesto Christian High School in Modesto, Calif. They open the 2012-13 season at Pitman High School in Turlock on November 26.
Bowles is a 6-4 forward from Modesto, Calif. He was the Most Valuable Player of All-Trans Valley League in 2011-12 after leading the Crusaders to a record of 28-6. In addition to earning MVP honors, he was also an All-Trans Valley League First Team selection, averaging 18.6 points per game as a junior. Bowles was also named Modesto Bee Player of the Year. Ray scored over 20 points in a game 14 times on the season, including a career-high 31 points twice.
Wallace is a 6-3 guard from Modesto, Calif, in his first season at Modesto Christian HS. Last year T.J. was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tri-City Athletic League after averaging 19.7 points, 14.2 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game. He also averaged 3.5 assists and 2.4 blocks per game. Wallace was also a Tri-City Athletic League First Team selection and was named The Record's All-Area Player of the Year. He scored a career-high 37 points with 16 rebounds against River Valley High School on Dec. 16, 2011. It was one of three 30+ points games for Wallace.

Both are athletic, competitive and can step in and help in their first year. I feel T.J. is one of the best guards that has ever attended Pacific. Ron Verlin and assistant coaches Adam Jacobsen and Calvin Byrd have done an unbelievable job recruiting student-athletes that will make the transition into the West Coast Conference a success."
