Pacific's Political Science Blog Offers Insights on Upcoming Election

Nov 3, 2012

For The College of the Pacific's Political Science department, election season is prime time to see the U.S. political system in action. And right now the department's blog, Political Science at University of the Pacific, is burgeoning with posts offering insights on this year's elections, all with an academic twist.

"We use the blog in a course we offer for new political science majors so they can see how political science can be applied to real world matters," says Brian Klunk, Associate Professor and Chair of the Political Science department.

All professors in the department contribute to the blog site regularly. While the audience is primarily local, the blog has gotten some wider exposure from the links it gets from The Monkey Cage, a political science blog that was recently featured on Time Magazine's Top 25 list.
