Don't Forget! Mandated Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Deadline is December 31

Nov 28, 2012

California law AB1825 mandates that all supervisors receive two hours of harassment prevention training at least every two years.  The year 2012 is a University training year for all faculty and supervisors. Under California's broad legal definition of 'supervisor', all faculty members qualify as supervisors, as well as all staff members who supervise other employees, even if they supervise student or temporary workers. The University cannot exempt any supervisors - faculty or staff - from this legal obligation.

The deadline for completing this training requirement is December 31, 2012.

If you were unable to attend any of the Life Theatre Services presentations offered earlier this month, you may still satisfy the training requirement through the University's two-hour interactive online course for supervisors: Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus. The course can be completed from any computer and it allows you to stop and start at any time at your convenience.
