United Way Campaign Update

Nov 29, 2012

With only a few weeks left before the Holiday break, the University's United Way Campaign is at $96,697.16 raised in pledges and donations as of Friday, November 30. This brings us to 80% of our fundraising goal of $120,000.

With participation at 29%, we still have a way to go to meet our goal of 40% participation. Thanks to those units that have already exceeded 40% participation within their units: the Center for Continuing and Professional Education, the Office of Communications, Business and Finance, Gladys L. Benerd School of Education, the University Library, and Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The University community's collective participation in the annual United Way campaign is a wonderful demonstration of support for our local nonprofits who work so hard to meet the overwhelming need in our community. Every gift counts, and every dollar makes a difference.

Remember you can contribute to any 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization of your choice. If you already donate to a favorite charity, you can make your donation through Pacific's United Way campaign. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or spread over the year through payroll deduction.

If you have any questions, contact your department's campaign coordinator or campaign chair Lynn King by email  lking@pacific.edu or call 209.946.2889, or your department's campaign coordinator.
