Welcome New Employees and Notable Changes

Arnel Balingit is a new custodian in Support Services.

Ellie Benton is a new records coordinator II the Office of Admission.

Kim Calder is a new records coordinator II in the Thomas J.  Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Ava Hammond is a new administrative assistant II in the Office of the Provost.

Cindy Lee is the new executive assistant to Vice President Burnie Atterbury in University Development.

Mary Lou Rialon is a new advancement information specialist in University Development.

Brandon Stevens is a new development document control management coordinator in University Development.

Andrea Strickland is a student services coordinator in the Conservatory of Music.

Cha Yang is the new environmental health and safety technician in Risk Management.

Notable Changes

Gloria Yip, executive assistant to President Pam Eibeck, has announced her retirement effective February 1, 2013. Gloria has been at Pacific since September 2002, when Vice President for Business and Finance Patrick Cavanaugh hired her as his executive assistant. She joined the Office of the President in August 2005, working first for President DeRosa and then for President Eibeck. The President and the entire Pacific family thanks Gloria for her many years of excellent service and wishes Gloria and her husband, Ron, all the best as they enjoy their retirement.

 

Sad news

Mike Popvich, who recently retired after 26 years at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry as one of the school's first-floor greeters, passed away on Saturday, November 17. Most everyone who has spent time at the Dental School knew Mike, a friendly face who welcomed patients, students, faculty, staff and visitors.
