Best Yet for Orange & Black Ball

Sep 5, 2012

The Pacific Athletic Foundation's (PAF) annual fundraising banquet, the Orange & Black Ball, started off the school year with a resounding success. The Foundationl hosted 663 guests at the Ball's new event venue in the Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium on the evening of Saturday, August 25.

Marking the highest fundraising total in its 13-year history, the ball raised a total of $146,704 through ticket sales, silent and live auctions, and raffle ticket sales. Proceeds support athletic programs and scholarships.

The evening's entertainment featured performances by Pacific's Tiger Dancers and the award-winning dance duo of Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian, five-time World Champions in Cabaret and Exhibition Dancing.

The program also included a tribute to longtime booster and PAF Board member John Falls, who passed away last December at the age of 84. This year's ball was dedicated to his memory.

The Pacific Athletic Foundation is the fundraising arm of Pacific Athletics. Its fundraising efforts support scholarships for student-athletes and sport-specific operations. For more information on PAF, visit PacificTigers.com/PAF
